A new year is here…
Happy New Year everyone! We made it!
Time really flies when you’re sitting around relaxing and unfortunately or fortunately it’s back to work for me this week both at my job and for my projects.
Although I don’t have too much to say about what I did over the holidays, one thing I have been excited about is getting to use my new iPad which has been such a game changer for working on the go and staying productive while away from my desktop. It has been such a great tool for motivating me to work more on my drawings and illustrations as I can work from virtually anywhere and don’t need to have to carry around a whole array of supplies with me just for drawing. I know, I’m a huge sucker for new gadgets but it’s so much fun seeing all this new technology and what it can do and it is really amazing getting to witness how fast art has evolved because of it.
In other news, the work in progress Dealing with Myself is live on the website in it’s very own gallery! I’m really proud of how it all looks so far together and am interested in finding out what other people think. I will be discussing this project a lot in person in the weeks to come and am eager for feedback.
It is crazy that it is January already after what seems to have been the longest most harrowing year, but I’m keeping my hopes up high so far for what’s to come.
Unfortunately for my good morale, January is serious deadline season and the work is piled high all the way up to the beginning of February. Ugh.
I feel like there’s a lot to come and, despite still not wanting to get back to work, I’m excited to face it all hopefully for the better.
With all this talk of work I should really get going before I start slacking too much but, while you’re here, please go check out the newest project I hope you enjoy it so far.
Wishing everyone a great start to 2020 and a hopeful perspective on the future.
